Job Description:

The Graduate College at Chosun University is seeking a candidate for the Postdoc Research Assistant position. This position performs a wide range of duties covering all research work related to the unmanned aerial vehicle. Our research interests include control and optimization for autonomous operations of unmanned assets, particularly UAV, including; 1) Energy efficient path planning using system control and optimization methods; 2) SOC, SOH, and SOP state estimation algorithm development of small Li-Ion battery pack system for miniature UAV; 3) Configurable model-based SW platform development for miniature UAV.

Accurate and meticulous research for undergoing projects and working with the lab advisor are primary duties. Besides, the processing and disposition of various request forms submitted by the lab advisor, graduate faculty, and staff are expected. Because of the dynamic nature and decentralized approach to graduate education at Chosun University, the position provides a stimulating variety of activities that help the lab grow.

Attention to detail, respect for uniform adherence to policy, commitment to Chosun University's Principles of Community, the ability to perform well independently and in teams, and strong communication skills are essential.

This position will be hired as a research assistant.

Example of Duties

Provides research results to the lab adviser while performing a variety of R&D projects.

Advises co-workers or undergrad students on related R&D works.

Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of the field while working in a progressive learning mode

Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
