RECRUITMENT
Post-Doc in Optical Wireless Communications
Post-doctoral Position at
PKNU, South Korea
The Optical/Mobile Transmission Laboratory (MTS, http://wireless.pknu.ac.kr/) at Pukyong National University(PKNU), Busan, South Korea, seeks a post-doctoral researcher in an area of optical wireless communication. For the last eight years, we have carried out an extensive and dedicated research on visible light communications (VLC), optical camera communications (OCC), VLC based vehicle-to-vehicle communications, healthcare VLC communications, infrared based indoor/outdoor communications, underwater optical communications, etc. For the past six years, we have conducted a leading research in ultraviolet scattering communications for outdoor/indoor applications, drones and underwater applications. Adding to these fields, we have recently been focusing on deep learning based optical wireless communications, UAVs, and orbital angular momentum (OAM) theoretically as well as experimentally.
Due to our recent advancement and continuous success in these optical topics, we further aim to expand the research internationally for years to come. To fulfill this goal, we seek an NRF (main funder in Korea) sponsored post-doctoral researcher with high motivation and creative thinking in the optical fields. A successful candidate will complement or enhance existing research strengths at MTS. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in optical (or wireless) communications or a relevant discipline at the time of application, and demonstrate a convincing capability of research publications.
A successful candidate will
receive a monthly salary of approx. USD 1,900or higher, commensurate with
